Aion 2 is now open to a much wider player base, but the global launch has already brought several important changes following early access. NCSoft has adjusted dungeon difficulty, improved progression issues to buy Aion 2 Kina, changed how server factions may be paired, and issued a strong warning about third-party currency purchases.
At the same time, players are already pushing for further changes to the game's monetization systems. Here are the biggest Aion 2 launch developments players should know.

Some Dungeon Bosses Are Getting Buffed
One of the biggest surprises in the latest patch is that some dungeon bosses have actually become harder.
NCSoft explained that certain bosses were below the intended difficulty for a five-player party. As a result, their stats are being adjusted upward. However, the developer has not revealed exactly which bosses are affected or how much their HP and damage have increased.
This change appears to be aimed primarily at later-game content. Some early-access players progressed extremely quickly, with highly optimized or heavily invested characters reaching very high gear levels within only a few days.
Lower-level encounters around 700, 1,000, and 1,400 Gear Score have generally felt reasonably balanced, with some of the 1,400 encounters already providing a serious challenge. Players will therefore need to watch the higher-level dungeons closely to see where the difficulty increases are most noticeable.

Major Quality-of-Life Improvements
The global launch patch also addresses several frustrating progression and usability problems.
Key changes include:
Character deletion is reduced from 7 days to 24 hours.
Characters can now be deleted from Level 1 instead of Level 10.
The idle kick period has increased from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
Announcement display time has increased from 3 seconds to 10 seconds.
Quest object availability has been improved.
The auto-movement rollback issue has been fixed.
The Level 45 Journal Duty problem has been addressed.
A recovery teleport has been added for certain stuck Hero Quests.
These changes should make the early progression experience considerably smoother, particularly for players joining during the full launch.

Server Pairings Can Change
Server selection is particularly important in Aion 2 because worlds are divided by faction. Elyos and Asmodian servers can be paired for Abyss, Space-Time Rifts, and other cross-server activities.
However, these pairings are not necessarily permanent.
NCSoft plans to periodically update server pairings to maintain faction balance. This means a server that is currently matched against a particularly strong opposing world may eventually receive a different matchup.
Free server transfers are also expected to become available from October 14, although transfers will remain within the same faction. Early-access characters initially cannot transfer into commercial launch servers, but this restriction is described as temporary rather than permanent.

NCSoft Issues a Strong Currency Warning
The game's economy is another major focus following launch.
NCSoft has issued what it describes as a first and only warning regarding illicit third-party Kinah and Kuna purchases. Players involved in such transactions may face serious penalties, including termination of game access.
This is particularly important as the free-to-play launch brings a much larger population into the game. Botting and real-money trading can become more difficult to control when player numbers increase.
Players should therefore be extremely cautious with third-party currency transactions and stick to officially supported purchasing methods.

Founder Cosmetics and Dye Pricing
There has also been some positive news for players who purchased Founder content. NCSoft says Founder cosmetics are being changed so they can work across characters and servers.
The implementation is still pending, and a future announcement will explain when and how the system becomes available. Membership and consumable styling chests are excluded from this change.
However, players have already moved on to another monetization concern: dye pricing.
Community discussions suggest that completely recoloring a skin set can cost around 1,400 premium currency, depending on the bundles purchased. The bigger issue is that changing the color again may require paying the currency again.
For players who frequently customize their characters, this could become an expensive system. Community feedback may ultimately push NCSoft to reconsider how dye changes are monetized.

What Players Should Watch Next
With the full global population now entering Aion 2, several issues will become easier to evaluate.
Players should watch for:
Server creation restrictions and queues
Changes in bot activity
Population imbalances
Dungeon difficulty at higher Gear Scores
Further economy enforcement
Founder cosmetic implementation
Potential changes to dye pricing
Remaining quest and chat issues

Aion 2's global launch is therefore more than simply opening the servers to everyone. NCSoft is already responding to early-access feedback, while players are continuing to push for changes to progression, server balance, and monetization with cheap Aion 2 Kina. The next few weeks should reveal how quickly the developer can adapt to the much larger global player population.
