The reality is, if you're on the ' roster, you're a po sible trade candidate before the NHL's March 6 deadline. Once the Canucks traded away Quinn Hughes, they slapped the flashing, Alex Zhamnov Jersey bright "OPEN" sign on the front of their roster. It's sell-off season. That includes, at least in the rumors, Brock Boeser. That surprised Boeser, though, who had this to on Friday: "It's not a trade deadline if my name's not in there." MORE: Boeser, the 29-year old right wing, isn't having his best season. In 51 games, he has 12 goals and 14 a sists, for just 26 points. Of course, Vancouver isn't exactly lighting it up, so that doesn't help the cause. Still, it's not the type of season that makes Boeser a trade a set, especially on his sturdy contract. MORE: There are definitely Canucks more likely to get traded than him, at least based on all the reported rumors that are out there. But a contender could find a way to fit Boeser and hope a change of scenery does him well. This is a guy with 216 goals and 244 a sists in his 605-game NHL career. That is enough proven production to give him a shot if the price is right. Will the price be right? Well, at this point, the Canucks may be finding a good price for everyone on the roster.
