With Aion 2 preparing for its global launch on October 5, 2026, players have plenty to learn before entering the new MMORPG. Built with Unreal Engine 5, the game combines action-focused combat, deep class customization, aerial battles, and long-term progression. Combat and Class Overview

Character Progression and CP

Character progression revolves around several systems. Sealed Dungeons provide materials for Divination Boards, which can unlock permanent stat bonuses. Genius Insight offers another progression layer, providing account-wide benefits such as improved material and gold yields.

Gear enhancement is also central to increasing Combat Power. Players can safely enhance equipment through early upgrade levels, while later systems are designed to reduce the frustration of repeated failed attempts.

Endgame: Abyss and Space-Time Rifts

At higher levels, Aion 2 shifts toward competitive PvPvE content. The Abyss provides a large three-dimensional battlefield where aerial movement and positioning become essential.

Space-Time Rifts can open across the world, allowing opposing factions to invade each other's territories. These encounters reward Faction Points and valuable materials used for high-end equipment and Stigma upgrades.

Aion 2 Launch Scale Test

Before launch, players can experience the game's core systems during the Aion 2 Launch Scale Test, scheduled for September 17–18, 2026, through Steam and the NC PURPLE launcher. Pre-loading is expected to begin September 16.
